This recipe is for this delicious vegan chocolate banana protein mug cake I made yesterday for a snack. This recipe calls for 7 simple ingredients and takes less than 5 minutes to make.

Mug cakes are one of my go-to snacks to make throughout the week because they’re easy to make and delicious. This is the perfect recipe to make if you want a healthy dessert. This recipe calls for banana, chocolate protein powder, oat flour, baking powder, vanilla extract, almond milk, chocolate chips, and maple syrup (or a sweetener of your choice).

Ingredients

  • Banana: The first ingredient you need to make this delicious chocolate banana mug cake is a banana. Mash 1/4 of a banana in a bowl.
  • Chocolate Protein Powder: The next ingredient you need is a vegan chocolate protein powder of your choice. In all of my recipes, I use Orgain protein powder. This recipe calls for 1 scoop of protein powder (23g).
  • Oat Flour: The next ingredient you need is oat flour. Blend rolled oats in a blender to make oat flour. This recipe calls for 1/4 cup of rolled oats.
  • Baking Powder: The next ingredient you need is baking powder. This recipe calls for 1/4 tsp of baking powder.
  • Vanilla Extract: Vanilla extract is the next ingredient you need. You need just a splash of vanilla for this recipe.
  • Almond Milk: The next ingredient you need is almond milk, or a nut milk of your choice. I used unsweetened vanilla almond milk for this recipe. This recipe calls for 1/4 cup + 2 tbsp of nut milk.
  • Chocolate Chips: You also need vegan chocolate chips. I used Enjoy Life chocolate chips, but you can use any brand of vegan chocolate chips. This recipe calls for 1 tbsp of dark chocolate chips, but feel free to use as many as you want!
  • Maple Syrup: The last ingredient you need is maple syrup, or a sweetener of your choice. This is an optional step.
