Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog! Because summer is coming to a close, I thought I’d share this refreshing mango strawberry banana smoothie bowl with you all. This is the perfect summer treat to cool you off on a hot day.

If you love smoothies and smoothie bowls, then you definitely have to give this recipe a try. I made it for breakfast the other day after I got back from my run, and it was the perfect fruity breakfast to cool me off. It’s been pretty humid here lately, and so I was craving a smoothie.

This smoothie is made with fresh strawberries, frozen mango, frozen banana, chia seeds, and almond milk (unsweetened vanilla), and there is no added sugar in it. Because fruit is so sweet on its own, you really don’t need to use an additional sweetener.

I have a number of other smoothies/smoothie bowl recipes on my blog, so feel free to check them out as well! All of my smoothie recipes are super easy to make and can be made in less than 5 minutes! It’s the perfect breakfast before heading off to work or school in the mornings.

The great thing about smoothies is that you can add all of your favorite toppings on top! Feel free to add granola, chocolate chips, coconut flakes, additional fruit, or chia seeds! There are endless toppings you can add, so go crazy!

3. Mango Banana Smoothie: Try making this 3-ingredient mango banana smoothie.

Ingredients you’ll need:

1. Fresh Strawberries

The first ingredient you’ll need is fresh strawberries. Strawberries are in season right now, and I’ve been buying them from Aldi lately. Aldi is a grocery store that I just started going to when I moved, and I’m so happy that I started going there. Aldi sells affordable groceries, and I bought these strawberries for only $0.95.

2. Frozen Mango

You’ll also need frozen mango. I bought frozen mango chunks from Trader Joe’s, which you can buy for just a few dollars. I’ve found that Trader Joe’s frozen mango chunks are super sweet, which is why I always stock up on frozen mango chunks whenever I make my way to Trader Joe’s. You’ll need 1/2 cup of frozen mango chunks for this recipe.

3. Frozen Banana

The last fruit you’ll need for this smoothie recipe is frozen banana. I like to buy a large batch of bananas and freeze some of them so that I can use them for smoothies and smoothie bowls.

4. Chia Seeds

Next, you’ll need 1/2 tsp of chia seeds. I also sprinkled some additional chia seeds on top of my smoothie bowl after I had already blended some in the actual smoothie. They’re super nutritious and a great topping for smoothies/smoothie bowls!

5. Nut Milk

The last ingredient you’ll need is a nut milk of your choice. I used unsweetened vanilla almond milk, but you can also use soy milk, silk milk, or oat milk! You could also use water, however, using a plant-based milk makes the smoothie super creamy! I bought almond milk for only $1.49 from Aldi. Aldi is a great place to buy almond milk for cheap, and they have both the original and vanilla flavors (they might even have more flavors than this!).
