Vegan Vanilla Strawberry Protein Baked Oats

Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog! I hope you are having a fabulous week. Today’s recipe is for vanilla strawberry protein baked oats. Over the weekend I was playing around with some ingredients and I had to make strawberry baked oats. I love fruit during the summertime because it always tastes incredible, and I haven’t made strawberry baked oats yet. And, strawberries are in season, and there’s no better time to make strawberry-flavored treats than during the summertime. So, I figured that this was the perfect time to create a recipe for strawberry baked oats but with a twist–vanilla protein added to it.

My favorite protein powder is Orgain’s Simple Plant Based Protein Powder. I wanted to make vanilla protein strawberry baked oats because vanilla and strawberry go so well together. I also like adding protein to my baked oats because it’s an easy way to get additional protein in your diet. Orgain also has other flavors of protein powder including creamy chocolate fudge and peanut butter cup. I love all of the different flavors of Orgain protein powders, and I highly recommend trying them out if you’re in need of one.

This is a great recipe for breakfast or as a treat, and perfect as a post-workout snack. Adding protein powder to your smoothies or oats/mug cakes is a great way to get additional protein into your diet. I have a variety of baked oats recipes on my blog, so be sure to check them out!

This recipe is also super easy to make and doesn’t take a lot of time at all. For this recipe, you need rolled oats, a vanilla protein powder of your choice, pure maple syrup, almond milk, strawberries, and baking powder.

These baked oats are soft, fluffy, sweet, and super tasty. And if you love strawberries, then you will absolutely love these strawberry baked oats. Let’s dive into the ingredients you need for this recipe.

Ingredients

  • Rolled Oats: The first ingredient you’ll need is rolled oats. Blend 1/3 cup of rolled oats in a blender or NutriBullet to form a flour-like consistency. This will serve as the base for these baked oats.
  • Simple Orgain Vanilla Plant Based Protein Powder: Next, you need a vanilla protein powder of your choice. I used Simlple Orgain Plant Based Protein Powder, but you can use any vanilla protein powder that you want. Just note that it might taste slightly different if you use a different vanilla protein powder. I love all of Orgain’s vegan protein powders, so if you’re in need of a new protein powder to try, I highly recommend trying a protein powder from Orgain. Their vegan protein powders are my favorite!
  • Pure Maple Syrup: To sweeten these baked oats, you need 1 tsp of pure maple syrup. I often use fruit alone to sweeten my mug cakes/baked oats recipes, but I wanted to add an additional sweetener to make these baked oats a bit sweeter. One of my favorite sweeteners to use is pure maple syrup because it’s a natural sweetener and it’s super sweet.
  • Nut Milk: You also need a nut milk of your choice. I used unsweetened vanilla almond milk, but you could also use soy milk, silk milk, or oat milk. Using a plant-based milk helps make the baked oats creamier.
  • Strawberries: You also need 1/4 cup of chopped strawberries. You can also slice up additional strawberries to add on top of the baked oats. You’ll want to mix the strawberries into the batter before baking it in the oven.
  • Baking Powder: The last ingredient you need is baking powder. Baking powder helps the baked oats rise.
