4-Ingredient Creamy Homemade Peanut Butter Chocolate Ice Cream

It’s finally starting to get warm outside which I am extremely happy about. Warm, sunny days put you in the best mood, and it’s definitely a nice break from the cold–especially with the brutal winter we’ve had this year.
Today’s post is dedicated to this delicious creamy homemade peanut butter chocolate ice cream I whipped up in the kitchen the other day. It’s a single serving ice cream recipe that calls for 4 simple ingredients including frozen banana, creamy peanut butter, almond milk, and mini vegan chocolate chips. These are all budget-friendly ingredients that you probably have lying around in your kitchen.
One of my favorite desserts to make is ice cream, especially during the spring and summer when the weather is warm and sunny. To kick off spring and to celebrate the warm weather, I decided to make a yummy peanut butter chocolate ice cream that is both healthy and delicious. This recipe will surely satisfy your sweet tooth.
Ingredients
- Frozen Banana: The first ingredient you need to make this creamy homemade peanut butter ice cream is frozen banana. I absolutely love using frozen banana as the base for my smoothies, smoothie bowls, and ice cream recipes because it’s a great way to sweeten them.
- Creamy Peanut Butter: The next ingredient you need is creamy peanut butter. You need 1 tbsp of your favorite creamy peanut butter to make this ice cream, but if you want a really strong peanut butter flavor, you can certainly add additional peanut butter. Some of my favorite peanut butters are Krema and Smucker’s.
- Almond Milk: You also need almond milk, or a nut milk of your choice. Nut milk makes the ice cream creamy.
- Mini Chocolate Chips: The last ingredient you need is mini vegan chocolate chips. I used Enjoy Life’s mini vegan chocolate chips. This recipe calls for 1 tsp of mini chocolate chips, but feel free to use as many as you’d like.
Creamy Homemade Peanut Butter Chocolate Ice Cream
Ingredients
- 1 frozen banana
- 1 tbsp creamy peanut butter
- 3 tbsp almond milk
- 1 tsp mini chocolate chips (vegan)
Instructions
- Add all ingredients except the mini chocolate chips to a food processor: frozen banana, creamy peanut butter and almond milk
- Blend until there is a thick and creamy consistency
- Fold in the mini vegan chocolate chips
