Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog! I hope you are all having a wonderful day and that today’s post brightens your day a little bit. For today’s recipe, I’m going to be sharing with you all how to make maple cinnamon granola.
Granola is one of my favorite recipes to make (hence why I’ve made sooo many different granola recipes on this blog), because it’s a great snack to have and it’s super tasty. It’s also a great alternative if you have a sweet tooth and want a dessert that’s a bit healthier.
I’m someone who really loves breakfast foods because I’m usually ravenous upon waking up. I have to eat something in the mornings before starting my day in order to feel good and to have enough energy to tackle the day. My go-to breakfast is oatmeal with peanut butter and fruit or baked oats (which is another great breakfast you should try making), however, since it’s summer, I’ve been making more smoothies lately.
Smoothies are refreshing and cool you off on a hot summer day. And, the best part about smoothies is all of the toppings. You can add fruit, agave, coconut flakes, and so on, but I absolutely love adding granola to my smoothie bowls. It adds a nice flavor and a crunch, and there are endless flavors of granola that you can make.
So, let’s talk a bit more about this maple cinnamon granola. It’s sweet, crunchy, and super filling. This recipes makes about two servings and takes less than 10 minutes to bake in the oven–it’s that easy! All you have to do is add your rolled oats (or instant oats), chia seeds, cinnamon, and maple syrup to a mixing bowl and evenly distribute the ingredients. Then, on a baking sheet, add your granola and bake it in the oven for ~7 minutes at 350°. Let it cool and enjoy as is or as a topping on smoothie bowls! Feel free to double the recipe to make a double batch!

1. 4-Ingredient Peanut Butter Granola
Ingredients you’ll need:
1. Rolled Oats
The first ingredient you’ll need to make this maple cinnamon granola is rolled oats (instant oats work as well!). Rolled oats are one of my favorite ingredients to use in dessert recipes because it’s a super inexpensive and affordable ingredient, which is great for recent college graduates or anyone looking to save money on food.
Rolled oats are also rich in carbs and keep you full for long periods of time. Combined with the pure maple syrup, chia seeds, and cinnamon, it makes the perfect sweet and crunchy snack.
2. Chia Seeds
The next ingredient you’ll need is chia seeds. Chia seeds are a superfood and are one of my favorite ingredients to add to smoothie bowls, smoothies, and peanut butter banana toast. It always adds a nice crunch and provides additional nutrients.
For this granola, I added chia seeds to give it some more crunch. It’s the perfect addition to this granola recipe, and is an ingredient I add to almost all of my granola recipes.
3. Cinnamon
You’ll also need 1/2 tsp of cinnamon for this granola recipe. Cinnamon adds a nice strong flavor to this granola, and it’s one of my favorite ingredients to use in my breakfast recipes. I always add cinnamon to my oatmeal and peanut butter banana toast. It’s a staple of mine, and something you’ll always find stocked in my pantry.
4. Pure Maple Syrup
The last ingredient you’ll need to make this granola is pure maple syrup. Pure maple syrup is a natural sweetener, which is why I tend to use it to sweeten my recipes. You could also use agave or some other form of sweetener, however, pure maple syrup is my go-to because it’s super sweet and adds the perfect sweetness to any recipe.
