Dates are natures candy. They make any recipe super sweet and pair well with peanut butter. This is one of my favorite desserts to make and it’s so quick and simple. This recipe uses simple ingredients including peanut butter, cocoa powder, chia seeds, chocolate chips, and pitted dates. All of these ingredients are pretty inexpensive and things that you probably already have lying around in your pantry.
This is one of my favorite desserts to make because there’s no bake time–it’s a no-bake dessert. It’s a perfect recipe to make when you’re short on time but want a delicious treat.
Ingredients
- Cocoa Powder: The first ingredient you need for these no-bake chocolate peanut butter date bites is cocoa powder. I used Hershey’s Unsweetened Cocoa Powder for this recipe, but any cocoa powder will work. This recipe calls for 2 tbsp of cocoa powder.
- Chia Seeds: The next ingredient you need is chia seeds. This recipe calls for 1 tsp of chia seeds.
- Peanut Butter: The next ingredient you need is peanut butter. I used creamy peanut butter for this recipe. You need 2 tbsp of creamy peanut butter. Feel free to use crunchy peanut butter instead.
- Pitted Dates: The next ingredient is pitted dates. I buy mejdool pitted dates from my local grocery store, but they sell pitted dates pretty much everywhere. I recommend buying pitted dates so you don’t have to worry about taking the pits out. Dates are one of the sweetest fruits that you can use to sweeten desserts.
- Chocolate Chips: The last ingredient is chocolate chips, which are completely optional. I added chocolate chips for additional sweetness.
