Healthy Vegan Chocolate Chip Banana Nut Donuts
Here’s how you can make sweet and delicious chocolate chip banana nut donuts. These donuts are vegan, made with simple ingredients, and take less than 15 minutes to make. This is the perfect easy fall treat to make with your friends and family.

It’s the middle of October, which means it’s time to start baking all of the yummy fall treats! I was inspired by my banana bread recipe to make banana bread donuts.
This donut recipe is bursting with flavor. The ingredients include oat flour, baking powder, cinnamon, banana, maple syrup, nut milk, chocolate chips, and walnuts.
I topped my donuts with creamy peanut butter, vegan chocolate chips, and walnuts. You could also drizzle chocolate, maple syrup, or enjoy them with a glass of chilled nut milk.
Ingredients
- Oat Flour: The first ingredient you need to make these vegan donuts is oat flour. Blend 1 cup of rolled or quick oats in a blender to form oat flour.
- Baking Powder: Next, you need 1/2 tsp of baking powder.
- Cinnamon: The next ingredient is cinnamon. This recipe calls for 1/2 tsp cinnamon.
- Banana: Next, you need 1 banana. I love using banana in my dessert recipes because it helps sweeten them. Banana is also a key ingredient in banana bread (or in this case, banana nut donuts).
- Maple Syrup: The next ingredient you need is 2 tbsp of maple syrup.
- Nut Milk: The next ingredient you need is a nut milk of your choice. I used unsweetened vanilla almond milk.
- Chocolate Chips: You also need vegan chocolate chips for this recipe. I sprinkled a few chocolate chips on top of my donuts after adding the batter to the pan, but feel free to add more chocolate chips to your donut batter as well.
- Walnuts: The last ingredient you need is walnuts. I sprinkled some walnuts on top of my donuts to add a nice nutty flavor to them. Like the chocolate chips, feel free to add additional walnuts to your donut batter.
Chocolate Chip Banana Nut Donuts
Ingredients
- 1 cup oat flour
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 banana
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- 2 tbsp nut milk (I used unsweetened vanilla almond milk)
- 1 tbsp chocolate chips (vegan)
- 1 tbsp walnuts
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°
- Combine oat flour, baking powder and cinnamon in a large mixing bowl
- Whisk together banana, maple syrup and nut milk in a separate mixing bowl
- Add wet mixture to dry mixture
- Lightly grease donut pant with olive oil
- Fill donut pan to form four donuts
- Add chocolate chips and walnuts on top
- Bake in oven at 350° for 11 minutes
- Let cool and enjoy!
