Vegan Pineapple Coconut Banana Smoothie

Hello friends and welcome back to my blog. Today’s recipe is a vegan pineapple coconut banana smoothie for one. This is a single serving recipe that’s perfect if you want a quick and easy breakfast to make.

As we’re approaching the warmer months, I will be sharing many more smoothie and smoothie bowl recipes on my blog. I absolutely love smoothies, and they’re one of my favorite breakfasts to make on warmer days.

All you need to make this pineapple coconut banana smoothie recipe is frozen banana, frozen pineapple, a nut milk of your choice (I used unsweetened vanilla almond milk), unsweetened coconut flakes, and a vegan whip topping of your choice.

How Many Servings Does This Recipe Make?

This is a single serving recipe, but you can easily make two smoothies by doubling the recipe.

Ingredients

  • Frozen Banana: The first ingredient you need is 1 frozen banana. I cut my banana up into small slices and placed them in the freezer overnight. Banana is one of my favorite ingredients to use when making smoothies because it’s super sweet and makes smoothies creamier.
  • Frozen Pineapple: Next, you need 1/2 cup of frozen pineapple. Pineapple is incredibly sweet as well, and I don’t typically add sugar to smoothie recipes because of how sweet fruit is on its own.
  • Nut Milk: You also need a nut milk of your choice. For this smoothie recipe, you need about 3/4 cup + 2 tbsp of nut milk. I used unsweetened vanilla almond milk, which is the nut milk I use in almost all of my recipes, however, you can use any plant-based milk that you want. I also really like oat milk.
  • Unsweetened Coconut Flakes: For this smoothie, you need 1 tsp of unsweetened coconut flakes. I blended my coconut flakes in the smoothie to add a nice coconut flavor. I also sprinkled an additional 1 tsp of coconut flakes on top of the smoothie after blending the frozen banana, frozen pineapple, unsweetened vanilla almond milk, and coconut flakes in a blender.
  • Whip Topping (Optional): Lastly, you need a whip topping. I used a (vegan) coconut whip topping. I added a large dollop of whip cream on top and sprinkled some coconut flakes to garnish. This added some sweetness and additional flavor. This ingredient is optional.

Toppings

Although I added a coconut whip topping and coconut flakes, you can add any toppings that you want. There are so many different toppings that you can add, so add your favorite ones. The best part of smoothies and smoothie bowls are the toppings.

Some of my Favorite Things

1. Orgain Simple Plant Protein Powder in Creamy Vanilla

  • This recipe doesn’t call for protein powder, however, the Orgain Simple Plant Protein Powder in Creamy Vanilla is one of my favorite vegan protein powders. I’ve used it in many of my recipes, and it’s definitely worth trying! They also have a peanut butter cup flavor which is really good as well. I use this protein in a lot of my protein recipes on my blog.

2. Libbey Classic Can Tumbler Glasses (Set of 4)

  • I poured my smoothie into one of these cute classic can tumbler glasses that I got from Amazon. They’re very pretty and make the smoothie look aesthetically pleasing. I also love drinking my coffee in these tumbler glasses.

3. Glass Drinking Straws

  • I also bought these glass drinking straws from Amazon. I love using them to drink my coffee and smoothies in. They’re pretty inexpensive and they’re my new favorite straws to use.
