Chocolate covered strawberries is an easy treat to make that is highly underrated. They’re not only delicious, but it’s an easy treat that you can make in no time.
There are so many fun toppings you can add including sprinkles and peanut butter drizzle. I added a variety of sprinkles and peanut butter drizzle to my chocolate covered strawberries and it was the perfect sweet and fruity treat.
Ingredients
- Fresh Strawberries: The first ingredient you need is fresh strawberries. Strawberries are one of my favorite fruits to eat. I love adding slices of strawberries to my oatmeal or on toast for breakfast in the mornings.
- Chocolate Chips: The next ingredient you need is vegan chocolate chips. Some of my favorite vegan chocolate baking chips are Lilly’s and Enjoy Life’s baking chips. Pop the chocolate chips in the microwave for about 50-60 seconds, or until they’re fully melted.
- Sprinkles: I love adding toppings to dessert–decorating is probably my favorite part of baking! I added a variety of colorful sprinkles to some of my chocolate covered strawberries.
- Peanut Butter: The last ingredient you need for this recipe is creamy natural peanut butter. For the chocolate covered strawberries, I added a peanut butter drizzle to finish this dessert off. A peanut butter drizzle adds a bit of saltiness, and the combination of salty and sweet is one of my favorites!
Directions
First, melt 3 tbsp of vegan chocolate in the microwave for about 50-60 seconds. You might have to heat them in the microwave for a bit longer if the chocolate is not fully melted. You want to make sure that the chocolate is fully melted so that it’s easy to dip the strawberries in the chocolate.
Next, add sprinkles, more chocolate drizzle, or a peanut butter drizzle on top of each strawberry. I added some mini rainbow sprinkles to a few of the chocolate covered strawberries, as well as a peanut butter drizzle to some.
Then, place the chocolate covered strawberries on a piece of parchment paper and place them in freezer for about 15-20 minutes or until the chocolate covered strawberries are fully hardened.
Once the chocolate covered strawberries are hardened, enjoy!
